The challenge
In the summer of 2005 Humanutopia visited Salford City Academy for a training day with Year 10 students. Ben Newton was attending the course and he vividly remembers his impressions of that day.
Graham and Carlo were completely different, they were fun, they had us engaged and they got into our heads and what powerful stuff it was! They showed us how our school and life is (they were right!) and then showed us how it could be (which was what everyone wants) and then showed us how to get there (result!). The path they took us on was wicked; everyone went home with a ´buzzing´ feeling, a real high.

I’ve been designing websites since the age of 10; it’s become a hobby that I just end up doing in my spare time. What I saw on their website was a good design, but I knew it didn’t match up with what these guys did - and the power of their events.
