Who is Humanutopia?
Humanutopia was formed by two former PE teachers, Graham Moore and Carlo Missirian. They run inspirational workshops and courses for students and teachers. Their aim is to create a great atmosphere in the school where people support each other and build good relationships.
What Humanutopia does
When Graham and Carlo go into a school they may run a workshop which lasts one or two days, or they may work in partnership with the school making regular visits throughout the year.
Humanutopia aims to help:
- people grow personally, socially, and emotionally
- bridge the ever-widening gap between adults and young people
- young people significantly improve their life chances
- young people become enterprising innovators and entrepreneurs.
They have developed two programmes.
- 'Heroes' is for young people and challenges them to decide whether they are a 'hero' or a 'zero'. The programme gives students the chance to think about their future and what they can achieve in their lives. The students go on to take responsibility for providing activities for younger children. In doing so they become positive role models - in fact they become Heroes
- 'One' is aimed at adults working with young people in schools offering in-class support and a series of workshops designed to improve communication between adults and young people.
Anyone who has been on a Humanutopia workshop can stay in touch with Graham and Carlo through their website. People post messages and examples of their achievements and dreams.
