The Better World Campaign


What happened?

BT looked again at its CSR programme. It was convinced that communication skills are essential for a happy, successful life. This was confirmed by UNICEF, UNESCO and the World Health Organisation who identified communication as one of the top 10 core life skills.

BT summarised its vision for the new campaign:

  • All young people should develop the communication skills they need to achieve their goals in life
  • Young people should have the opportunities to use these skills to influence their work place, the economy, their homes and the government
  • Adults should pay particular attention to young people who are most in need.
