The challenge

BT has long demonstrated a commitment to being a responsible company. BT didn’t want to be an organisation that just 'ticked the boxes' to meet the minimum requirements of the legislation introduced by government, it wanted to put its CSR policy into practice everyday so that it was seen as being at the heart of the company. This approach is in line with their core values of being trustworthy, helpful, inspiring, straightforward and operating with heart.

The challenge for the leadership team was to make CSR an important consideration at all levels of the company.
