The Helios Awards
BP's core values are very important to BP. Every year, the Helios Awards are won by people working for BP who have shown that they are committed to these values.
The BP Helios Awards are open to all BP employees across the world and are a powerful way to unite the group and show how everyone is aiming to work in a similar way and achieve the same things. The awards are an opportunity for BP to thank its employees for being really focused on the group’s aims.
The awards
- Green: Focusing on the efforts of BP people to strengthen and sustain environmental leadership
- Performance: Delivering excellence and setting new standards: acknowledging success in all areas of the business
- Innovation: Applauding creativity and recording the breakthrough-solutions that transform the way BP works
- Progressive: Looking for ways to do old and new things better – for customers, society and local communities
(The Partnership award and The Human Energy award are two additional awards.)
A vast amount of knowledge is gathered through the awards programme. This provides an opportunity for sharing creativity and best practice so that other employees across BP can copy and repeat the best ideas.
